I eliminated SSL and changed Authentication to None. I changed the settings on Outlook 2016 for Mac to: So, at this point, I don't know where the program is given that I can now use the accounts on and Apple Mail, and receive on Outlook 2016 for Mac BUT not send on Outlook 2016 for Mac! The language, also did not consummate in a connection.) But previously, that same 'connecting to secure ' or whatever
(When I tried initially programming for SSL secure, it reverted to non-secure. 'send', the 'connecting to ' fills with blue but never completes. At the bottom of the screen after I click I can program in all the data (account, password, incoming & ongoing servers, preferred ports), but in Outlook, while i now RECEIVE emails, I still cannot send any to any email address, or otherwise. Spectrum must have done something so that now I can use this email account to send and receive emails from gmail, Aol and other platforms in addition to on the websiteīut the account still doesn't work on Outlook 2016 for Mac, even though at one time, perhaps when Spectrum was using instead of, that account worked fine on Outlook (2011 for Mac). The situation has changed although still mysterious.
